Data and AI accelerate remanufacturing: join the FUTUREPROOF webinar to learn more about the FREIMAN project
How can data and artificial intelligence help make remanufacturing more efficient, transparent and sustainable? Nokian Tyres’ FUTUREPROOF ecosystem webinar on 28 October 2026 will showcase solutions and practical experiences from the FREIMAN project.
The manufacturing industry needs new ways to retain the value of materials, extend product lifecycles and use resources more efficiently. Remanufacturing offers significant opportunities to achieve these goals, and data and AI can make the processes even smarter.
These themes will be explored in Nokian Tyres’ FUTUREPROOF ecosystem webinar on Wednesday, 28 October 2026 from 12:00 to 12:45 EET. The Finnish-language event will be held on Microsoft Teams and is open to Nokian Tyres FUTUREPROOF ecosystem partners interested in the circular economy, data-driven manufacturing and new business opportunities in industry.
FREIMAN brings together data, AI and the circular economy
The webinar will introduce the FREIMAN project (Future Remanufacturing Loop Data Driven Innovations for Growing Manufacturing Business). The FREIMAN initiative aims to develop innovative solutions that enhance transparency and control in the return loop for used components by leveraging data analytics and artificial intelligence. FREIMAN’s target is to create a more predictable and efficient process for collecting and remanufacturing core components.
VTT Principal Scientist Marko Jurvansuu opens the event with a presentation of the project’s objectives, collaboration model and key development themes. After this, experts from Nokian Tyres will share their experiences of the project with a deep dive into a practical example of how data can be used: a demonstration of the Nokian Tyres Intuitu™ smart tire solution on a forestry machine. At the end there will be time for questions and discussion
