The test center is particularly advanced to versatile testing of tire wet grip due to a modern irrigation system.

The test center in Nokia, Finland is located around the corner from the Nokian Tyres head office. At the test center, Nokian Tyres simulates almost all driving situations on northern roads from April to November.

The testing center is constantly being developed to meet the challenges of difficult conditions as well the demands of the future. We test summer, winter and all-season tires at this test center. The track in Nokia was originally built in the 1960s and the test center has now expanded to 30 hectares in size. One of the latest expansions was completed in 1999, and it brought variety especially to the high-speed tests.

The test center in Nokia is particularly advanced for the versatile testing of tire wet grip due to the modern irrigation system, which allows the amount of water to be regulated very precisely, thus also conserving water.

In addition, there are asphalt surfaces in different condition, which enable, among other things, brake testing on asphalt that is no longer in top condition. At this track, we also conduct tests related to the measurement of pass-by noise.
